DIY Hair Bow

Who likes to make things? I do! Pick me! Pick me! Below shows how to make a cute hair bow on a bobby pin. I want to apologize for my phone's poor quality of photos. They might look pixilated or the noise looks too reduced. Sorry...But read on if you want to create a bow on a pin!

You will need:
- Glue (either fabric or super glue. I'm using hot glue only for demonstration)
- Scissors
- Ribbon of your choice
- Plain bobby pin with base plate on the end (that circle plate thingy) or a barrette

Now that we know what we need, let's get started!

Picture
Step 1:
Cut your ribbon in three pieces, two longer ones and one short one. The longer ones should both be the same size.
Picture
Step 2:
Take one of the longer pieces and glue the two ends of it together. Do this same step with the second long strand.

Above is what the two pieces should look like.

Step 3:
Carefully cut only the corners off of the glued end of each of the long, glued pieces of ribbon. Don't make it look pointy at the ends. See photo above for where to cut, and if you want to see how it should look, peek below, then continue.

See? The end isn't too pointy!

This is how both should look when you are finished cutting those corners.

Step 4:
Lay both of the pieces on the base (circle) of the bobby pin pointing the glued ends towards each other. Glue those suckers on!

Step 5:
Remember that small piece of ribbon? Round the corners and edges to transform it into an oval.

Step 6:
Glue that small oval on the base, wrapping around it and the glued ends of the longer-cut ribbon. Wait for the glue to dry, then wear! You can pin your hair back with it or even tuck the pin into your bun so the bow is standing out. The possibilities are endless!
