Penny Lane Art Gallery & Cafe

Objective

After a remodel, Penny Lane went from a cute coffee shop to a modern and clean coffee haven. To match this remodel, required some re-branding on the wall menu, the fold-able menu, the hours signage, and some other miscellaneous signs kept at the register.

We knew we wanted to aim for a grayscale concept, and later decided we wanted a black background to captivate the people of New Carlisle while they browse for their favorite sandwich. The results? A clean and modern menu that you can't take your eyes off of.

As a result, I love this re-branding. We went from a brown-based color palette in the beginning to this gorgeous and modern grayscale. These fonts were also some of my favorites that I've ever paired together. Thank you to the people of Penny Lane for allowing me to work on this with you!

B. Marie Boutique

Objective

I've known Brooke since middle school. She's always had a dream of working in fashion and business. And her mission is to bring a new life to used and "gently-loved" dresses. Whether she revamps the dresses to rent and sell, or gathers donated items, Brooke needed a little bit of branding. Her boutique began online through instagram, but is now taking form in a pop-up shop. So to prepare her for these sales, I helped her brand a logo and business cards.

We sat down together and discussed moods, colors, and taglines. We then went from there and emailed concepts until we found our winners.

I am so thrilled to watch Brooke's boutique take off! She and I are still in contact as more design and marketing opportunities come. You go, girl.

Gem City Vet

Objective

This project was a non-paid project to support the newly announced Gem City Vet that is set to open in Dayton, Ohio. I had worked with Gem City Kitties in the past for a service learning project pre-graduation, and because it was a fundraiser, I was more than willing to work with them again. The selling-point of the vet is to help Dayton become a no-kill community in 2025.

For the vet, I was asked to create three things. The first was to create table toppers for the catfe to announce the opening of the vet.
Picture

The second task was to make a poster advertising the vet, to be displayed in the cat lounge at the Catfe. This would be the more permanent advertising method of the three tasks.

And lastly, I created 5in x 7in flyers for surrounding Dayton businessed and locations. This would theoretically raise awareness about the vet as well as advertise fundraising.

I was so honored to be a part of this advertising process, and I'm so excited to see how far this vet goes! I fully trust Karin Gudal and the rest of the staff who are involved in Gem City Kitties on their endeavors into the veterinary clinic world!
