Hi everyone! Please consider checking out the following resources:

Hello friends!
I did it again. I splurged on more crystals.

Like I've done in the other three crystal collection posts, I'm going to do a little show-and-tell of my findings. Some of these are repeats that I bought more of, but I'll still summarize their healing properties, symbolisms, and brief tidbits about their origins. It's as simple as that!

Blue Lapis

Lapis lazuli is a stone that has been prized for thousands of years. According to GIA, "The gem was treasured by the ancient civilizations of Mesopotamia, Egypt, China, Greece, and Rome. They valued it for its vivid, exquisite color, and prized it as much as they prized other blue gems like sapphire and turquoise." This stone can be found in incredibly inhospitable locations, so mining and searching for it can be challenging. "Badakshan, a province in present-day Afghanistan, is a forbidding wasteland of mountains, bare of any vegetation," GIA says. This is where the modern-day search for Lapic Lazuli happens.
Picture
Royal blue as a color in general often represents royalty and power, and the same concept remains true about blue lapis. It's known to hold a heavy meaning of truth and good judgment.

Black Chalcedony

Chalcedony originates from Chalcedon, Turkey. Through centuries, it was used in knives, seals, and jewelry. According to Tiny Rituals, "Chalcedony can be found all over the world including in Brazil and Namibia, India, Sri Lanka, Malawi, and Madagascar."
Picture
As for healing properties, black chalcedony is an energy stabilization stone. It's used to help people stay grounded and calm in whatever circumstance they're in.

Spirit Quartz

Spirit quartz is rare to come by, and apparently is only found in South Africa. According to Free Crystals, "Usually, Spirit Quartz is found mainly as light coloured Amethyst...also, it can be found in Clear Quartz and less often in Citrine or Smoky Quartz."
Picture
Amethyst Spirit Quartz is mainly used to spark creativity through artistic endeavors, and to evoke passion and imagination.

Pink Tourmaline

Pink tourmaline is wildly available throughout the entire world. According to Gabriel & Co., "Rich deposits have been mined in the United States, Brazil, Nigeria, Mozambique, Madagascar, Afghanistan, and Namibia."
Picture
Pink tourmaline often represents a deep love, whether that be a romantic kind of love, or a deep-seated friendship. It's believed to open the heart, while also fighting off negative energies.

Amethyst

At this point, I own too much amethyst, arguably. But I was drawn to how dark this one was. Like I said in Part I, Amethyst is heavily found in Brazil, where it's formed in large volcanic rocks and geodes. It's just another type of quartz.
Picture
Amethyst is known as a protective and healing stone. It slao promotes the idea od sobriety; the name supposedly stems from a story that a Greek man was spared from drunkenness. The Greek term amethystos means "not" and "intoxicate".

Fire Quartz

Crystal Viden had a lot of information about fire quartz. They said, "As a whole, Quartz is one of the most abundant minerals on the planet. This variety is no different, appearing in Brazil, China, Madagascar, Namibia, and more."
Picture
Fire quartz represents the fire within us, to never let the tribulations of life dim our flame.

Moonstone

Like I said in part three, "Originating from Switzerland and Sri Lanka, moonstone has since been found in North America, South America, and in regions near Australia."
Picture

Moonstone improves intuition and perception. It also promotes a positive well-being and a more balanced lifestyle. Moonstone is said to harvest energy from the moon to create a relaxed life.

Pink Apophyllite

Also mentioned in my part three is pink apophyllite. This gorgeous crystal is found all over the world in various volcanic locations.
Picture
Apophyllite is a stone that promotes clarity and mental wellness. It helps you stay grounded to the earth and very in-tune with your emotions. Keep this little guy around to encourage self love.

Thank you all for tuning in. Someone please stop me from buying more.

Keep on grinning!

Lydia
