Hello friends! Fall is officially coming to a close.
This week in Ohio, we got some pretty decent snow and ice. The trees were all coated in white. Yeah, it honestly looks and feels extremely winter-y outside lately! But autumn technically ends on the 20th of December, so I figured I'd go ahead and share some of the beauty products I've been loving throughout the season.
Poparazzi Nail Polishes
A super affordable brand of nail polish that I've been loving is Poparazzi. It's taken me ages to find a nude kind of color that actually has a good tint, and this one is it! With "Toes in The Sand", you only need a coat or two, and with the top coat, it looks super shiny and simply incredible.
I actually found these goodies at The Dollar General! They're both excellent products, but I think my favorite one of these is the charcoal scrub because it just leaves my face feeling soft and clean for days after I use it. And they're super affordable!
As you can see, I've really been getting into skincare this season. I've found that each of these products have done wonders for my face! The moisturizer doesn't irritate my skin in any way, which I slightly worried about since I haven't used many moisturizers in the past. The scrub surprisingly isn't too rough on my skin, like other exfoliating scrubs I've tried; it does just as great of a job as the pricier, more painful ones (just being honest...sometimes they hurt). I've usually backed away from exfoliating scrubs, but this one works for me! The sleeping mask is magic! It feels great from application through cleansing the next morning. It also leaves my face feeling smooth for the rest of the day. And finally, this primer is amazing. It doesn't leave my skin feeling too oily and it makes makeup application and blending much easier.
Now, as this winter season begins, I'm trying out the soothing serum and the tone adjusting primer. We'll see if those make the cut for my winter favorites (which I'm confident that they will)!
Maybelline's Baby Lips
I haven't used this product in years! I recently felt impulsive and just picked it up again, and I'm glad I did. This product not only makes my lips feel smooth, but it give just enough tint and shine to add a fresh touch to whatever makeup I'm wearing. I think this is the perfect product for those chapped winter lips, and it makes me look like I'm wearing actual lipstick without having to commit to the touch-ups that come with wearing actual lipstick.
Tarte's Tartelette Tease
Originally I thought this palette was just okay. But I find that when I'm in a rush to do my makeup or even just to touch it up, this palette has been super helpful. The colors are all very simple and wearable, while also being gorgeous. And it has the perfect variety of matte and shimmer shadows. And it's small enough to fit in my purse, for simple touch-ups on the go!
So yeah, those were some of the top items I used throughout the season. I'm already using some new things that I know are going into the Winter Favorites, coming in 2017! What are some of your beauty favorites that you've been loving through autumn?
