Jekyll's Candles Review

2/21/2017

Hello friends!
A few months ago, I volunteered to help try out wax melts from Sarah Emery's new  Etsy store, called Jekyll's candles.

I'm a sucker for some wax melts. Anything that smells good, count me in. So I was definitely excited to try out these items.

The first thing I should point out, before I start completely gushing about these products, is that standard shipping is tricky, especially when shipping from your home or small business, to another location. It took me ages to return a package last year to a location only a couple of states away. So imagine having to ship internationally! That was the only downer in this experience (she's from the UK and I'm in the US), and even then, that happens to the best of us. But now I have my package, and I'm completely happy with how many melts I received and how amazing they smell.

The packaging

I love opening packages. Even if I already know what's inside, I get super excited! This was my first bit of blogger mail, as I call it, I love handwritten notes and cute little baggies. And I could just smell everything through the packaging! I was so excited to pull everything out and to smell everything individually. Each set of scents came in a little tissue paper-y bag, sealed with tape. I also received a business card with some of her information on it.

Vanilla

The vanilla-scented melts smelled nice and sweet. It reminds me of visiting the mall or some place during the holidays! These were the first ones I opened, so I was able to finally see their size and color. I think these look and smell amazing! Such clean little molds. And they held up well through the shipping process!

Candy Floss

I can't get enough of the candy floss. Once again, this smells sweet. But it also smells slightly fruity! I also happen to love the color of these, and the scent had been lasting me for a while now (this one's currently in my candle warmer).

Gingerbread

Like the vanilla, this scent is super cozy and sweet! This is a perfect aroma for a cozy night in, maybe on a rainy day. I love me some warm scents! The color is also everything. I love it.

Green Apple

This one is a fruity one! Sometimes a nice, fresh apple-y scent is all you need to celebrate Spring. I love how this looks and smells. Green apple is usually a hit or miss for me, but this is a definite hit. And it has such a neat, bright wax color!

Black Cherry

Okay, besides Candy Floss, this one is one of my favorites. The cherry scent is so vivid and tasteful. It isn't too bold, but it's there. And the molds of these are so cool. I mean, take a look at that skull!

So those were the five scents for you folks! Key information that she explained to me and to the other bloggers who volunteered are as follows:

·You get a pack of three for £3. The colors and shapes will vary. Shapes can be chosen if wished.

·The cameo wax melts are a pack of 5 for £5. They are made to order, due to the size of the mold she has for it..

· Delivery is free within the UK, and £5 elsewhere. However there is a small charge to get a first class delivery - £1.

Be sure to check out her Etsy shop and to give her scents some love. They really are something amazing. Thank you all for reading today! Remember to keep on grinning.

X Lydia
