Hello friends!
I'm returning with part two of my crystal collection. I haven't purchased any more crystals and rocks since this batch because I'm trying to practice even an ounce of self control.

If you haven't seen the first part of my crystal collection, I'll link it here. Check it out if you're interested! For now, I'm going to continue on the same sort of format I used before, where I talked a bit about the origin of each piece before discussing the energies and auras associated with it.

Picture
Disclaimer: Like I explained before, I'm a skeptic. I don't necessarily know if I believe in any sorts of powers or energies being super hands-on in affecting my mood or altering my life. But I do, however, believe in a self-fulfilling prophecy sort of vibe when it comes to crystals, or manifestation. By that, I mean a specific association with each stone could inspire or motivate you consciously subconsciously, rather than it being a direct product of the rock or crystal itself.

Rose Quartz

Rose quartz was first discovered around what is now Iraq. According to the Gemological Institute of America, "People in the earliest recorded times believed in the magical powers of quartz. Ancient Roman, Egyptian, and Greek civilizations used quartz crystals as potent talismans. The Romans used rose quartz as a seal to signify ownership, and Egyptians believed the stone could prevent aging." As time went on, the use of the stone went more into health potions and in a more psychological focus to cope with anger and balance emotions all together.
rose quartz
Today, rose quartz still holds similar health benefits as it did many years ago, and then some. Rose quartz is immediately associated with romance, whether that be love for others or simply self-love. According to Charms of Light, a source I used a ton in the last post, this mineral "restores trust and harmony in relationships, encouraging unconditional love." It also "purifies and opens the heart at all levels to promote love, self-love, friendship, deep inner healing and feelings of peace." Health-wise, Charms of Light also says rose quartz "dispels negativity and protects against environmental pollution...strengthens and balances the physical heart and circulatory system, and releases impurities from body fluids.  It hastens recovery, reduces high blood pressure, aids chest and lung problems, heals the kidneys and adrenals, and alleviates vertigo." It's also representative of fertility and healthy pregnancies.

White Howlite

In 1868, Howlite was discovered near Windsor, Nova Scotia. Chemist/Geologist Henry How determined that this crystal was new and unidentified, so he initially called it silicoborocalcite due to what he believed made up the compounds of the mineral. After his passing, the stone was called Howlite in his memory.

This stone is notorious for calm, stress-relieving energies. According to The Crystal Council, "This stone is here to nurture and enlighten one's...body...bringing one's inner strength to the forefront during this time...it also helps one slowly rebuild their emotional body." Something I love about this stone is that it represents overcoming grief and coping with anxious tendencies. The Crystal Council says, "During times of distress, Howlite grounds all of our energy and allows our mind to maintain a sense of clarity. This is vital for making rational decisions that can better suit one's day to day healing."

Obsidian

Obsidian gets it color and its glassiness from volcanic eruption. Because the magma cools before a crystal can truly grow, this stunning igneous rock forms. Texture and weathering can affect the appearance of obsidian if water at all is in play. Other than that, it was said to be originally discovered in Ethiopia, but today is found in many different regions around the world.
obsidian
Obsidian is a protective and truth-enhancing stone. According to Charms of Light, obsidian "stimulates growth on all levels, urging exploration of the unknown and opening new horizons...brings clarity to the mind and clears confusion." It encourages you to dive deep and search for the truest version of you. Through your self discovery, it's said to shield negativity.

Purple Jasper

Jasper has been used for centuries for many ancient civilizations. According to Crystal Vaults, jasper "was considered sacred and a powerful protection stone, for both the physical world and in the spiritual realm. Amulets of Jasper were carved by the Egyptians...for safe passage in the after life. It was highly utilized in many cultures for engraving cylinder seals, signet rings, and special talismans depicting astrological and religious images. It was the twelfth stone in the Breastplate of the Jewish High Priest. To the medieval world and the Native Americans, Jasper was the rain bringer and highly regarded as a stone for dowsing."

As for healing properties, purple jasper is known to help balance mood and to relieve stress.

Blue Kyanite

Varieties of Kyanite stem from more mountainous regions, like The Alps, through high-pressure continent-continent collisions. According to Forbes, "kyanite is important for the prospecting geologist, as a typical metamorphic mineral it can be used to estimate the temperature, pressure and depth at which the hosting rocks formed."
Picture
According to Charms of Light, "Kyanite is an excellent stone for meditation and attunement...kyanite has a calming effect on the whole being, bringing tranquility.  It encourages psychic abilities and communication on all levels.  It drives away anger, frustration, confusion and stress and helps to provide a capacity for linear and logical thought." This stone helps to ease any physical discomforts while searching for your true self.

Green Adventurine

Green Adventurine often originates from India, while other variations of this mineral can be found anywhere from Russia, Spain, and Chile. According to Jewels for Me, Adventurine's name "comes from the Italian, a ventura, or all'avventura, meaning, by chance."
Picture
Generally, adventurine is known to stabilize your body and your mind, assisting in decision-making and personal growth and prosperity. Want to enable an aura that enhances self-love and improved wellness? Adventurine is a go-to. As for green adventurine specifically, healing emotions and dissolving self-doubt is the motive. Clear intentions and emotions.

Gold Tiger's Eye

According to Crystal Vaults, "Tiger’s Eye is a most ancient talisman, mysterious and powerful, revered and feared – an “all-seeing all-knowing eye,” thought to grant a wearer the ability to observe everything, even through closed doors." Through both Egyptian and Roman culture, Tiger's Eye has been used for protection and strength.
Picture
Tiger's eye aims to "boost will power, emotional stability and energy levels when working through lifestyle changes and health improvement routines," according to Crystal Vaults. "It also reduces anxiety caused by feelings of isolation or inadequacy, and helps overcome discouragement to persevere through the long haul." From repairing personal bonds to bringing clarity to your mindset, Tiger's Eye is a motivational and a protective stone.

Citrine

Citrine is the stone I went on a mental mission to find. I took a quiz on Crystal Vaults to find out what crystal would be recommended to me based off my goals and my current state of mind, and citrine was recommended to me. It originates from mountainous areas of Russia and Brazil.
Picture
As for properties, citrine is full of positive auras and associations. It recharges and exhilarates the mind, body, and soul. Charms of Light had a lot to say about citrine: "It cleanses the chakras and opens the intuition.  Citrine attracts wealth, prosperity and success.  It imparts joy, wonder, delight and enthusiasm.  Raises self-esteem and self-confidence.  Stimulates the brain, strengthening the intellect.  Citrine promotes motivation, activates creativity and encourages self-expression.  Enhances concentration and revitalises the mind.  It releases negative traits, depression, fears and phobias.  Emotionally-balancing." It perfect suits everything I aspire to feel.

Prehnite

Originally discovered in South Africa, Prehnite is a metamorphic rock that can be found all over the world. It was named after Dutch mineralogist Colonel Hendrik von Prehn, the man who discovered prehnite.
Picture
As for healing qualities, prehnite is a stone for deep healing and for lasting love (for yourself and for others). Charms of Light shares that prehnite "enhances precognition and inner knowing...to be prepared." It also "calms the environment and brings peace and protection.  It teaches how to be in harmony with nature and the elemental forces." Another side note about prehnite is that it's said to alleviate inner fears and nightmares. It's a great comfort stone.

Tumbled White Opal

White opal is often found in the southern region of Australia, but can also be found around areas such as Hungary, Ethiopia and Canada.
Picture
As for properties, white opal is a stone of calm and clear energy. It's very encouraging of manifestation and growth for both you and those around you.

Thanks for checking out the second part of my crystal collection. What's something you like to collect?

Keep on grinning!

Lydia
