My Final 2016 Holiday Looks

1/3/2017

Hello friends!
Happy new year! I hope you all are having an amazing start to your 2017. I know I am!

For anyone wondering--No, I do not have any new year's resolutions this year. Instead, I've been trying to better my physical and mental health since mid-December. I think starting something at the beginning of 2017 adds more pressure, and realistically I find that I don't necessarily end up keeping those resolutions. I've been better with my eating schedule and with blogging lately, and I even purchased a gym membership, which I have been loving.

For today's post, I want to start by stating that the reason these looks aren't posted yet is because I don't have the best internet connection at the ends of each month. So I'm excited to finally get these up! I hope you like these final holiday looks from 2016. Here's to a new year of blog posts!

Christmas

Now, I actually celebrated Christmas on three different days, but because I use natural light and it was only light enough outside on one of the three days, I only have one look photographed for you folks. I knew I wanted to look festive, but I didn't want to go for the traditional red-and-green color combination. Instead, I decided to go for a classic black-and-white outfit with a touch of gold on the eyes. I wore this button-down (on the first of the three days) and I loved it. I felt super classy in it, and I'm excited to see how many ways I can wear it! For Christmas, though, I decided to dress it down with high-rise jeans and flats. And, yes, I'm aware that my eyebrows could use a good trimmin'. But I don't really mind, honestly.

New Year's Eve

Last New Year's Eve, I wore a dress that Tyler's sister, Chelsea, bought me for Christmas. Well, she bought me another this year! So naturally, I decided to wear it out on New Year's Eve. Because I'm a tall gal, I paired it with some leggings and loafers. Tyler and I spent the evening together, living large at the Cheesecake Factory and even running into my high school friends, Chelby, Rachel, and Rebecca. I felt so comfy and confident in my little dress (thank you, Chelsea!). And to be festive for NYE, I went for all kinds of shimmery eye shadows. When in doubt, blend it out!
