My Highschool Beauty Transformation

7/9/2015

Hello friends!
This year I'm finally a senior. For the past four years, before each grade of high school would start, I took a picture of myself with my polaroid.

Now I have four polaroid pictures, each taken before a grade of high school. So today I wanted to show you guys the beauty transformation I've been through. Because we all have our awkward stages.
Picture
From left to right are freshman me, sophomore me, junior me, and going-to-be senior me. Yep. Quite a mighty change. Now let's evaluate each individual photo...
Picture
Man. First of all, freshman me had super long bangs that she didn't know how to style. That's why they're pinned back in this picture. I also didn't understand how to wear makeup. I think I wore mascara from time to time, but, let's be honest, I was pretty clueless. Can you tell? My hair's also super short. And I'm somewhat tan. Woot woot!

Okay, so huge difference. I started painting my nails more, my bangs were shorter (and I experimented with them, like in this picture), and my cat eyes are way too busy. This was also the time when I began wearing top knots and buns. Cheers!

I'd like to applaud junior me for toning down the cat eyes a bit, thus making the lashes pop. Also, peach blush was a fun product to experiment with. It's been a great year, beauty-wise. The same year I started wearing plum and red lipsticks. I mean, I tried red lipstick once sophomore year, but chickened out. But in my junior year, I found my love for all lipsticks. The darker, the better. :3

This year, having the blog, I feel more educated on different makeup brands. I wear a classy amount of eyeliner (not too much) and I play with lipsticks just as much. I can't wait to keep experimenting to find some fun new looks!

Thank you all for reading! How did you change throughout the years?
-Lydia
