My Skincare Collection

Hello friends!
It feels like it's been ages since I've done a skincare post (they are probably my favorite posts to write).

The last time I wrote a post like this was in October and it was my nightly routine post. But this time, I wanted to go in-depth about the products I own and to explain how I use them.

Before I go on my schpeal, I do have a major, overlooked tip (besides using products) that can keep your skin healthy: keeping hands clean. I never realized how much I touch my face until I got really bad sun burn on my face a couple of years ago. After I eat food or get anything on my hands, I make sure to wash them. Even when I'm just doing school work. I might just rest my chin on my hand or wipe my hair out of my face. It's crucial to keep those hands clean, because you never really realize how much you touch your face every day.

Now let's get into it, shall we?

Removing Makeup

Removing my makeup is one of the first things I do at the end of a long day. I don't want any dirt and grime to build up in my skin simply because I didn't clean off my makeup! My skin is pretty sensitive, so I go for makeup wipes that are marked as "sensitive". The Burt's Bees one is not my favorite out of the two I photographed, simply because it's a smidge too dry and is still not gentle enough on my skin. So if your skin is just on that edge of being sensitive, those wipes are for you. I've actually liked the DG Beauty (Dollar General brand) makeup wipes because they don't leave my skin feeling irritated. If I ever have a bunch of makeup on my eyes (more than the usual amount, anyway), I reach for my Makeup Forever Sens'eyes. I just massage it around my eyes and it helps to extract some of that stubborn makeup that sticks in and around my lashes.

Facial Cleansers

As you can see, I've been putting my Olay foaming face wash to good use. I purchased it maybe a month or two ago from the dollar store, and it's nice and gentle on my sensitive skin. It leaves my skin feeling clean and refreshed, and it doesn't leave it feeling too dry. I haven't tried the sample cleanser from Sephora yet, but I'm sure it'll work wonders. I also love my Ahava Mineral Botanic Velvet Cream Wash in hibiscus and fig. It smells amazing and makes my baths and showers more enjoyable! I love having a fresh scent to use, and I can confidently say that this one is one of my favorite washes I've used.

Exfoliating Scrubs

These. Are. Amazing. They help to almost "deep clean" my face, pulling excess dirt out of my skin. I find that the ones with charcoal leave my skin feeling even smoother (considering they also purify the skin). I use these a couple of times a week after I wash my face with regular cleanser, and I love how they work!

Moisturizers

Nothing feels better than keeping the skin hydrated! These two moisturizers make my dry, sensitive skin feel comfortable to healthy all day. These are great, what more can I say?

Serums

This was my first try using a serum for my skin. If my skin if irritated after makeup removal (it still happens, on occasion), this stuff relieves it and makes it feel pretty soft. I put this on before I apply any overnight masks or makeup primers to keep my skin fresh all day long.

Masks

Face masks are always fun to use. This clay mask doesn't burn and it doesn't stink! It simply goes in and purifies my skin. I like to use this after I've cleansed my face and exfoliated it. As for the E.l.f. mask, I use it at night and I rinse it in the morning. It locks in that moisture and stays soft and soothed, so I can prepare for the day ahead.

Body Butters and Creams

Yeah, I know. It's marked as hand cream. But I use products like this on any dry patches in my skin, like around my elbows and on my hands and feet. It's great for targeting whatever area you need to sooth and instantly giving it moisture.

Hand care

Okay, this is actually one of my sister's Christmas presents. But she placed it by the sink in the bathroom, so of course I gave it a try! I've never exfoliated my hands with a product that smells amazing and works so well. I then use the creams to soften them.

Lip Care

When the day is done and I have my overnight mask on, I apply my Milani Moisture Lock Lip Treatment. It ensures that my lips are smooth--not cracked--when I wake up in the morning so that I can apply lipstick without worry. The Maybelline Baby Lips Dr. Rescue is perfect for day-time relief for dry, chapped lips.

Thank you all so much for reading! What are some brands and products that you've been loving?
