Ombré Lip Tutorial

Hello friends!
As you will see in 31 Days Of Makeup (Week 2)'s post, Dana and I are doing an ombré lip.

So if you're interested in how to do this ombré lip look, this post is just for you! I use affordable products, so don't be afraid to look into these...

Yes, I realize my mascara isn't on in these photos. This was before I filmed (which is currently in the editing process) a false lashes tutorial. Anyhoo, I started off using an E.l.f. Lip Stain in the shade Berry Blush. This only costs somewhere between $1-3.00. Somewhere in that range. So it's mighty affordable. I purchased this from Target. So I used this to line my lips since it's felt tip helps me be precise; it works just like a marker.

Next, things start to get a bit messy. So try to be neat. I used my Maybelline New York Color Sensational lipstick in 435 Plum Perfect to fill in my lips a but. Not all the way, though, because we're going to be putting lighter colors more towards the center. I'll be honest, I shouldn't have put so much on. So try to blot this if you do the same.

Now we're starting to get a bit lighter! I used E.l.f. Moisturizing Lipstick in the color Ravishing Rose more in the center, the area that I didn't fill in with the plum. The colors get easier to blend as they get lighter, I feel.

I then blended my E.l.f. pink Lip Balm with the rose color in the very center. Then I blotted to make things neater. If it's not as light as you'd want it, but a bit of concealer on your finger or on a lip brush and dab it in the center. It blends with the colors to make things look lighter more easily.

Finished! The combination of all the colors makes for one neat result.
