Spring Favorites (2017)

Hello friends!
Spring is officially over, which means I'm making this post right on time! I was pretty late with my Winter post, but I'm making it a point to try to blog much more consistently.

Spring is one of my favorite seasons. It's the time where everything grows, where there's plenty of rain, and where I feel most inspired to clean out my drawers and closet. From this season, I picked some of my favorite items that have made me feel super fresh and pretty, and I'd love to share them with you! So let's get on into it, then.

Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Lipstick in 160 Discreet

First off, can I just say how I appreciate the amazing smell of this lipstick? There are a lot of lipsticks that smell really chemically and make me hesitant to use them, but this lipstick kind of smells more mocha-y in comparison. It makes me feel way more comfortable to apply it. I think the color is universally flattering and its creamy formula doesn't dry out my lips upon wearing it.

E.l.f. Perfect Finish HD Powder

One of the main reasons I do my makeup is because it just feels therapeutic to me. I take my time on it, and I'd love for it to stay throughout the day! Which is why I started using e.l.f.'s setting powder. I never really used a setting powder before this, but I have used a setting mist. As much as I liked the mist, I have to say, I find that this keeps my makeup in place much better. The compact I photographed is actually a new compact I bought since I've nearly used up the other one!

E.l.f brow gel and brush

I love this little duo of brown shades. The lighter shade on the right is a powder, which is perfect for creating that gradient on the inner bits of my brows, and the dark gel shade on the left is perfect for shaping and filling in the rest of my eyebrow. I talked a little bit about this in my red and gold makeup tutorial. So you can always check that out to see some steps that I take to use this product! The brush, which is also e.l.f. (but purchased separately since I don't use the tiny brush that came with the compact) is nice and stiff, so I feel like I can draw very precisely when creating an arc in my brow.

The duo I use to prime my face

So I use two different products to prime my face, and my skin has been loving it. The first I apply is e.l.f.'s Daily Hydration Moisturizer. After it sets, I then use Covergirl cgsmoothers BB cream, since it's summertime and since the sun is shining. Not only does this provide plenty of moisture, but it also has SPF 21, so it protects my skin from any harmful rays. So I can still apply makeup and not worry about getting sunburnt.

Morphe 25A Copper Spice & 25B Bronzed Mocha

Not only do these have the same wonderful formula of the other PRO eye shadow palettes, but they're smaller, which it convenient for my on-the-go touch ups. I've been using these palettes nearly every single day since there are so many different looks I can create with them!

Polaroids

Now this is a random favorite of mine. I've had my Polaroid camera for almost 6 years now, and I finally bought new film for it and took some pictures with my boyfriend. So now he has two photos, and I have two photos. I like having something print out and develop so quickly like these do, and it's so fun to see how they turn out! And I'm super happy that I have pictures with him that are already printed out and that are super aesthetic in my room. Fun fact: we took these photos together on our two year anniversary.

My Birchbliss Print

Guys, I bought a print from an Etsy store that I now love! Not only do I just love the print, but I love how it arrived. It was packaged neatly and came with a lovely note from the artist. I'll leave her information below!

My blogging notebook

I don't know if it's just because I've been in an inspired kick, but I had to put my notebook in this favorites post. I talked about its significance in my newer post, Three Years of Blogging. I just put all of my creative thoughts into this notebook, so I feel like it deserves more recognition on here!

My Planner

This is a newbie of mine, but I think it's very important to stay organized. And look at the colors on it!

Poparazzi nail polish in "Staying Up Slate"

Now, all throughout spring, I've been absolutely loving cool tones and neutral colors. So I of course had to add this greyish brownish purplish nail polish into the mix! You've probably been seeing this nail polish on my blog for months now, but it's because I think it has a lot of potential. I know I've been loving this brand's products, and I can't wait to see what other colors they create.

Thank you so much for reading! What are some of your favorite products from this spring?
