Spring Favorites 2019

7/16/2019

Hello friends!
I'm fairly behind on my seasonal favorites this year. But finally, it's time.

Through the springtime I fell in love with some miscellaneous products. Some were beauty-related, some were tech products. But something I've noticed is that a lot of them incorporate the color yellow--which happens to be a current favorite of mine!

As a graduated designer, I have to be honest with you guys. Normally, I don't have a favorite color. Rather, I fall in love with color schemes. So for yellow to be a favorite is a huge deal. Without further a do, let's get into it!

Aveeno, baby.

My first item that deserves a shout out is Aveeno Cracked Skin Relief balm. My mom actually gave me this because she was raving about it. It feels so great on my skin. Like I actually feel excited to moisturize my skin. How often can you say you're excited to moisturize your skin?

This Candle

This DW Home candle was gifted to me by one of my coworkers for Christmas and I just can't get over how amazing it smells. It's floral and sweet, which is perfect for my bright yet warm aesthetic in my bedroom. I try to light this candle sparingly since I love it so much. Sometimes I just can't resist! I'm pleased with how well it fills the room with its tantalizing aroma.

My Hand-Me-Down Record Player

Look, I get that everyone has record players for the aesthetic. And yeah, that may be part of the reason I like having one. But mainly I just love the full, fresh sound that it omits. I only own four records at the moment, but I can't wait to scout out more. Shout out to my brother and sister-in-law for granting me this beauty! I'm so in love. Now I can blast Two Door Cinema Club freely!

This Gorg iPod Case

Look, I dug myself into a Society6 hole and fell in love with this floral design. It has those gorgeous greens and pops of orange and yellow, all in a water-color format. And since I still only have a slide phone, I can use this on my handy dandy iPod. Yes, I'm a bit behind on technology.

The Jaclyn Hill Vault Collection

Yes, I bought the yellow palette from her vault collection. And I may or may not have used most of the highlight shade by now. Actually, I hit pan already. But I mean, look at those swatches!

This palette also came in handy when I saw MGMT's Little Dark Age concert. I had to be festive, so a bright, pigmented yellow was just the thing I needed. P.S. Don't mind my crusty lips.

Thank you guys for catching up this week! What are some products you've been loving lately?

Keep on grinning!

Since closing FB it seems Grins and Needles has gotten lost in my head, I always looked forward to your notes as I tried to read between the lines to find the real Lydia. We just don't talk anymore lol. So drop me a line independant of your blog if you choose to. I'd like to to stay in touch with you. Love....Sonny
