Hello friends! I want to give myself permission to continue writing on my blog during this time of uncertainty.
With both COVID-19 still lingering and with the BLM protests, I wanted to take a break from the blog. I didn't know if anything I could say would be appropriate for the timing. But I don't think "Black Lives Matter" should be a controversial statement. I don't think it should be something for the world to question.
Black lives do matter. And "all lives matter" isn't true until black lives matter. Please, if you read my blog posts during the protest times, consider donating. I'll leave links at the beginning of every post through this time. Please also consider staying educated as the protests continue, and be kind to one another. Here's a link to 135 potential organizations to look into contributing to: https://nymag.com/strategist/article/where-to-donate-for-black-lives-matter.html. Whether it be a bail fund or a memorial fund, every cause in this movement is crucial.
Continuing on, I have an overdo spring favorites post I photographed a couple weeks ago. The following are items that have kept me content through quarantine and all.
I've needed nice headphones all through quarantine with how much I've been running in the park and needing to find my sanity through music. I bought these Raycons with Kurtis Conner's code since I knew he had a decent amount of comedy shows that were cancelled because of COVID-19. So with that, I receieved these with free shipping and a discount. The sound quality in these are incredible, they're compact, they're easy to use, and the rarely need charged.
I'm the type of person to splurge on stickers. The variety on Society6 in incredible, and the quality is always spot-on. I purchased two new stickers for the new laptop that I had on the way. One is a color wheel with moods attached, and the other is a minimalist red lady. I just think they look super cute together. Trust that I have more stickers on the way to make my eyes happy.
Morphe Setting Mist
I'm a fan of morphe products as is, but the setting mist hits different. It's not a harsh spray, it actually mists. It's simple and lasts! Need I say more?
Society6 Phone Case
Every year I need a new case. Whether they fall apart or I need a new option, I like going through Society6 for options. This year I chose this case (for my iPod, because I still hilariously have a slide phone in 2020), which has an edgy tattooed lady and her cat. If you look closely, you'll see some nintendo and pokemon characters tattooed on her. I just think it's a cute easter egg.
And lastly, my plants
My plant family is continuing to grow. And they're all named after TV Land characters and actors. I'll consider doing a plant tour soon, to introduce you guys to them. But for now, look how cute the fam is. They just make me feel complete, especially when I'm stuck at home.
Thank you guys for reading. I hope you're all being safe during quarantine. And if you're protesting, be sure to wear a mask and stay safe out there.
