Hello friends! Tomorrow is the first day of fall. It's about time!
Despite how excited I am for autumn to make its way, I've truly enjoyed this summer. I moved into a new apartment, I've spent lots of time by the pool, I've been working more, and I've been making a point to spend time with friends and family.
Spending time with people you love, doing the things you enjoy is what makes the seasons special. The added bonus is finding products in your life that excite you along the way. So this past summer, I've stumbled upon items that not only excite me, but also motivate me.
I might just hop into this with its usual format. Here we go!
When I was a teen, I read Teen Vogue and Seventeen Magazine a lot. I remember one particular article that said mixing up scents is a great idea, since our noses get used to smells if we're around them enough. Kind of like the febreeze commercials mentioned being "nose blind". So whenever B&BW is having their semi annual sale, I tend to gather a few new lotions to mix it up here and there. I like their lotions because they don't feel greasy and they smell subtle but there.

When I need a quick spritz of something, I tend to opt for some Victoria's Secret perfumes. I bought a few on sale, recently. I feel like these sprays last longer than the B&BW sprays, scent-wise. It's also nice to just keep one in my gym bag. I like both brands for different reasons.
All face mists I've used in the past are great for many reasons. Maybe they soothe skin irritation, maybe they set my makeup. In general, they're all pretty universally refreshing. But this particular spray from Loreal not only sets my makeup, but it adds a dewy sheen to my skin. This works wonders, especially if my face looks too powdery or something.
These have been a dynamic duo for me this summer. Whenever I want some loose, braided waves, I reach for some hair mousse. And whenever I need a refresh, dry shampoo it is. They add a simple touch to shake things up.
Yes, that is the brand name of this water bottle. And yes, I refer to the bottle by his name. Anyways, Nathan is a stainless steel bottle that keeps hot drinks hot for 12 hours, and cold drinks cold for 24 hours. I admired my coworker (and love of my life) Rylee's Nathan when she brought the matte black bottle to work. The ice wouldn't melt! It looked so refreshing and I was jealous. I needed to some day get my hands on that bottle. But one day, Rylee came into work with a rose gold Nathan for me! Thank you, Rylee. Not only do I love with bottle, but I'm also more inclined to drink substantial amounts of water throughout the day.
Ever since I moved into my new place, I have been loving any opportunity to add art to the walls. Since my brother moved to Boston, we've collected a ton of his work. Other pieces are from past acrylic pours of mine, spontaneous works from Lana (aka Ronald), and other posters/prints.
Thank you guys so much for reading. What summer favorites have you had this season? What are you looking forward to this fall? Sound off in the comments, and keep on grinning!
