Thanksgiving 2016 (Pt. II)

11/27/2016

Hello friends!
I'm back again this week for a part TWO from the long week of Thanksgiving.

I actually technically celebrated Thanksgiving four times: Once last Sunday (where I wore the dress and makeup from Part I), once on Wednesday night (right after work, so I didn't get to look too spiffy), once on Thursday (which, because I use natural lighting for my photos, none of my photos looked too good, for it was too dark as I was getting ready), and once on Friday (which I took decent photos of, and which I'm posting on this here blog post)!

I already talked about Sunday night with you folks on Part I's post, so I'll go ahead and somewhat discuss the other days that I missed!

Wednesday

   A
fter work, I met up with my boyfriend and one half of his family for dinner. I arrived about two hours late, so everyone was pretty much finished eating, but I was fine with that. I ended up making a quick plate of delicious food and preparing to write something on my secret santa slip. After a few minutes of brainstorming, I successfully wrote down three items--each under $25--and proceeded to stuff my face with pumpkin pie. As the night carried on, I found myself joining in my boyfriend and his sister's childhood tradition of eating crackers and cheese while watching Wallace and Gromit: A Grand Day Out. "
Everybody knows the moon is made of cheese."

Thursday

On actual Thanksgiving, I woke up bright and early to head back to my boyfriend's parents' house for breakfast. As the day continued, we headed over to his cousin's house to see the other half of his family for the holiday. We once again enjoyed a fantastic meal, while his mom captured the moments in some photos and while Chelsea and I went into an intense laughing fit, discussing John's apparent similarities with Wallace from Wallace and Gromit. No one else knew what we were laughing at, but that was okay. I have yet to actually see the similar mouth movements between John and Wallace, but it's Chelsea's detailed observations and descriptions that make these moments absolutely hilarious. Later on, Tyler and I watched some Malcolm in The Middle, then both suggested a movie that the other person hadn't seen yet (He picked Good Will Hunting and I chose Sixteen Candles). I think we're going to have to do that again sometime soon, picking movies for each other!

Friday

Unfortunately for me, I woke up early on Friday morning with the worst stomach ache. My mom went ahead and gave me medicine and I tried to sleep a ton so I could finish Thanksgiving with my friends from high school. One of those dear friends is Rachael, a dear friend of mine who moved away about two years ago. It felt amazing to finally get to see her again that evening, when I started feeling decent again. I ate lightly and played cards with Rachael, Adam, Megan, and Tyler (unfortunately June had to leave soon after I arrived). My chemistry with my partners in Kemps was impeccable. I won each time I had Tyler as a partner, lost only once with Rachael (because I forgot which specific signal she chose--whoops!), and I won every round with Megan (our signals even included singing and dabbing). We also enjoyed a few rounds of spoons and about two hours worth of BS. It was so awesome to get to spend time with my best pals again!
