The Best Date

Hello friends!
Sorry I've been taking so long to post new content. My internet once again does not cooperate when I would like it to. But I'm trying to post something today for you all!

A couple weekends ago, Tyler and I went to the Short North in Columbus. He heard Jenis was open so he really wanted to take me there. You see, we went there once before to eat at Melt, and at that time Jenis wasn't open. So we really wanted to try Jenis this time around.

The ride there was rainy, but beautiful. It was also full of ELO and Queen tunes. Our arrival, however, was tricky. Parking took about 15 minutes since it was so packed! But luckily, the meter where we parked allowed free parking on Sundays. I don't know if that's all meters, but he and I were pumped.
After taking a while to park, Tyler was hungry. I guess I was a bit too, so we decided to find a restaurant before heading to get Jenis ice cream. But the thing was, he and I didn't know where to eat. This was my second time in the Short North. So I just followed him. I didn't mind where we'd be eating. And then we saw it--a blue sign that read Happy Greek.

Fortunately the rained stopped when we arrived at Happy Greek. We wanted to eat outside! Little did we know that the patio would be so beautiful. And if you weren't aware, I'm obsessed with string lights. So when they turned those on I was all *swoon*. This was our first time at Happy Greek, and I know I'd definitely go back. The service was great, our waiter was kind, and the food was a-ma-zing. I couldn't believe how amazing everything was. Tyler and I could not stop taking pictures of the adventure.
After we ate, Tyler and I felt pleasantly full. We both finished our dishes and still had plenty of room in our tummies for some Jenis ice cream.

Yep, it was the best ice cream I've ever had. I had sea salt caramel with milk chocolate ice cream. Also, the décor was beautiful in there (more string lights!).

After the amazing trip to the Short North, Tyler and I felt it was time to head to my house. To end the night, we sat outside and watched the 'blood moon'. Such a fascinating sight!
Every date that I have with Tyler is amazing. I believe the adventurous element of doing-things-on-the-fly along with the entertaining road trip, those bring two people even closer together. But most of all, I believe spending time with the one you love...that's what creates the best date. Everything else just naturally falls into place.

I'd like to thank you all for reading. If you'd like more posts like these, feel free to request them! What's an amazing date you've been on?
-Lydia
