The Street Fair

Hello friends!
I had an eventful day yesterday. Many interesting things happened, so I want to share the stories!

So yes, I have many stories. Some good...some bad. Let's see what my boyfriend and I have been up to...
Picture
The day started with my man friend and I heading to meet Angie (my almost-sister-in-law) at an ice cream place, where she was painting faces. We chatted for a bit, then Tyler and I both decided to get our faces painted as well. I got a Pusheen cat eating a doughnut and he got a Led Zeppelin logo dude. We looked super rad.

From there, Tyler wanted to take a shuttle to the street fair (since it was a block away and the streets were busy). I'm very nervous when it comes to riding buses. But with him, I dunno. I wasn't really nervous at all. I actually really liked taking the shuttle. And we were the only passengers on it at the time! It was peaceful, air-conditioned, and very relaxing.

Within 10 minutes we arrived at a corner and saw tents galore! There were a lot of vendors packing up, but we managed to find a lot of cool merch while it was still out.

However, whilst Tyler spoke with an artist (she creates cool designs on the surface of instruments with a Sharpie), a man tried to take my purse. Luckily my purse strap was over my shoulder. I figured that I would drop my purse or something in such busy streets. But whoop! A man tried to yank it off of me and nonchalantly walk away. He wasn't a very good wannabe thief though. When I turned to see who it was, he turned back too. I saw his face! C'mon man. Get wit it. I let him be free though. And I also made eye contact with him a couple more times as he'd pass. Then I told Tyler about it. Good stuff (not really).

So Tyler and I realized something. We didn't look the part! Everyone wore crop tops and short shorts and floral head bands and tie dye and such. So you know what we did? We went to a vendor and bought ourselves some merch. He got a bandana and I got a floral headband. And boy, we looked too hawt. But we still got weird looks since we had those huge face paint designs on our faces. They're cute though!

The final stop at this fair--music. We watched a couple of bands rock it out. But let me just tell you, some adults there were partying very hard. I took a video of a cute old dude shakin' his thang. I hope you enjoy it.
After almost an hour of sitting in the heat and jamming out, we decided it was time to get back on the shuttle and back to the ice cream place (to actually get ice cream). It was some good ice cream, too--Chocolate Pretzel Caramel something rather. Golly.

Thanks for tuning in today. I hope you enjoyed this little story time. What sorts of things are you doing this Summer?
-Lydia
